Do the Details Matter?

February 1st, 2024

On the wedding day you may not see your photographer taking photographs of many details during the day, but they should be.

Why would they do that?  The photos do not include any of the bridal party or family.

They are capturing details that add up to making the day just a bit more special and help to make it your day versus someone else’s.

Make sure your wedding photographer plans to get the details for you wedding day!

Three things to pack and have ready to include in a detail photograph are:

  1. A copy of your invitation
  2. A few extra flowers that reflect your color scheme
  3. Written Vows or a special keepsake item that is special to you.

Other items that will be needed for the flatly detial photograph are:

  1. Shoes
  2. Jewelry - rings, cufflinks, bolo’s, necklace
  3. Grooms tie and belt
  4. Perfume bottle

The photographs will include close ups of the brides shoes, jewelry and any other special items that are important to you.

Similarly for the groom.

Then there are details from the location for the ceremony and the reception.  Details from the the head table, guest tables, the flowers, bouquets and boutonnieres. Remember to add them to you album.

They will help you remember the day with great fondness.
